So, the other thing I like to do when the words are being stubborn, as they have been of late, is cook. So, I decided to share this weeks menu with you.
Saturday we will be having Chicken pot pie (yes, from scratch), Sun is looking like Steak soft tacos, Monday we go to the orient with an Asian noodle salad, Tuesday we have a cook’s resting day with Cheeseburger Macaroni (*again, note this is NOT from hamburger helper), Wednesday we visit the east breifly again with a chicken stir fry *now with bonus Snow Pea Pods. From here we round out the week on Thursday with Meatball subs and “need for cheeze” homemade cheese stix, Friday a nice Sicilian Meatloaf, and Saturday a slow cooked Citrus infused ham.
So, while I sit and wait for the words to come, (*read, actual productive time to write), I shall continue to elevate my culinary talents to new and exotic heights. Till then, enjoy your own recipes…and if any of my menu items peaks your interest…give me a shout, and I will share my recipe.

Nope, no kidding folks. I have read, and re-read my story, played with plot ideas, made funny little doodles on notebook paper, and perused the internet willy-nilly for hours, and have not made any progress on DRCs! So, I am at a loss, and almost in great despair. No, wait, I said almost. I will not give up, or shrug this off…I need this to be done and done soon, but it can not be rushed. So, I ask….if by some strange stroke of luck a real published writer, or hell, a writer who is looking to publish something, or someone who was written more than a few pages wishes to share his/her insight with me as to what I could do, can do, should do, or shouldn’t do…I am all ears.
This is an unexpected glitch, I didn’t think to be sitting here after months of non-writing. I thought, “I’ll get back to it.” But, alas I have not. Perhaps I just need to turn the plot some, but I am unsure in which direction. My protag has been sitting in the same cafe for weeks staring out a window and smiling. At last, that’s where I left him last. Perhaps by now he has moved on, tired of waiting for me…ugh.
OK, enough sulking, I vow to write at-least 250 words by the end of this week. I can not promise them to be great words, but maybe I can get him to swill some coffee and read the paper or something….
For now, Ill just go bang my head on this lovely wall…nite all.

So, I have been working my day job, and have since failed to write even a single word in DRC, or any other project I have on the burners. This simply will not do. I have made great progress in said day job, but while it helps pay the bills, it is not helping me write my books. An alternate solution is needed, and needed quickly.
See my day looks something like this,
up at 6 get kids up/breakfast/shower/shave/dress/drive kids to bus/drive wife to work stop/drive to work
8 till around 330-4 day job
4-430 drive home
430-530 assist with homework, prep/finish dinner
530-600 pick up wife
600-645 dinner
645-730 finish up homework, clean up from dinner, kids prepped for bed
730-9 bills, various other duties, perhaps maybe an hour of tv then bed
next day–repeat.
So, you see, I have little time to write. Ugh, I know, that’s just a cop out. But when I am really tired the drive to get this done just isn’t there. OK, so perhaps I need to read what I have during the day, and then come home and jot down a few notes. I think I will try that for a bit, when I have time at work, I will read DRC on my phone, and move on from there.
Thanks blog, you helped me once again. And for those poor lost souls who actually read this thing, keep your fingers crossed, and pray to whatever god you believe in that I actually finish this project. Divine intervention never hurt anyone.
